"Military AI" Future??

Sorry, it's kind of a misleading title lol.
Anyway, I was just curious to see what everyone else on here was *really* waiting for
"the community" to release? For me, it's the F/A-18 Hornet as that opens up SOOOO many possibilities and adds a lot (in fact the bulk) of the US Navy's aircraft. I'm also DYING to see NAS Oceana come to life....after all, it's the "Master Jet Base" and is pretty much barren in MSFS!!
My second choice would be the "BlackHawk", "Pavehawk", "JayHawk", "SeaHawk" models as that will too open up a lot more doors.
(NOTE: I am not on MAIW staff, so this is not some super secret way to "figure out" what the public wants to see next. Just a curious endeavour on my own lol)
STAFF EDIT: I fixed it to be a little more appropriate. As Mike stated, this isn't how we work. Hell, the only way we get what we want...is to do it ourselves. By ourselves I mean the actual package manager.

Guys, I HATE to burst the bubble here but the F/A-18 is a long, long ways away. It might, and that's a BIG might, get done this year some time. It very well may not get done at all. The modeler who was developing it has retired from active modeling and we are grateful for all the models he gave us.
Blackhawk isn't even in development at this time or any other choppers at the moment.
What the community "wants" to see more of and what we actually do are complete opposites. The only way anything gets released at MAIW is by contributors volunteering their time and efforts to work on projects that they want to work on. The moment someone has to work on a project that they have no interest in is the moment that MAIW starts its slow death spiral.
If you have an itch to see more of one thing or another, then WE NEED YOU! We need contributors and beta testers. We need aircraft and scenery modelers.
So vote all you want but nothing will change unless more members of the community pitch in and join the cause instead of waiting around for their favorite package to be handed to them.
I wish it wasn't this way but that's the situation like it or not. The MAIW group is smaller than it's ever been, therefore our pace of releasing new packages is slower than it's ever been. We've also lost our most prolific modeler for the foreseeable future.
There are new models in development but the pace is far slower than what we've all gotten used to. People's lives come first and that's just a part of all this that we learn to live with.
But seriously, if you feel like you are good at creating afcads, or flightplans we could really use your help. If you have FSDS or Gmax and can model scenery or aircraft, we could really use your help.
For now we'll be working with the inventory of AI models that we have and slowing getting new ones out as they become available.
Again, if you can help, we could certainly use it, but know that the turnover rate is quite high as contributors want to help but quickly realize that it takes far more time than they either have or are willing to donate.

I'm not being picky here but your poll illustrates, for me, what is wrong with most polls I sse.
The question, as presented in its wording and the allowable responses, isn't applicable to "what I am most looking for"/forward to.
There is a wealth of aircraft currently available, in models and in textures. In most cases what I miss is a generic texture usable as a general substitute for AI models/squadrons whose specfic tail flashes haven't been immortalized in a released texture set yet. For instance, a generic F-15 texture without ZZ or whatever on the tail. The "damn" C-5 without the freaking limos - that one currently "chaps my butt" - but I won't die without it; my computer will just run slower as I use a non-MAIW/non-limo-equipped C-5 model instead.
While some people anxiously await a "true multi-LOD" F-18, I am pretty much "satisified" with the one I found in a Finnish package - but there're not enough textures for it to be useful elsewhere, certainly no geneirc US Navy texture. I'm still looking for something that functions well as an AI SU-25, L-39/L-159, F-111, for example.
Of course I'd love to see more helo's... who wouldn't? But that's a whole new can of worms... too many models used in too many different countires with too many variations currently missing to say "I want this one more than that one" or even to want to open that can of worms. Think about it. In the US arsenal alone, populating the USA AAF bases is as big a task as populating the USAF bases with planes, not to mention doing so barely touches USN/USMC bases/inventories. Anyone have a can opener and a fish hook?
So, the poll, as written, simply can't reflect my actual feelings and preferences.
Sorry.

I am just altogether grateful for all the work MAIW has done so far. It has been a couple of years since I've put out any of my AFCAD files and several reasons have lead to this. Time is a major factor. I got to a point where I was trying to fix every military base that Microsoft left completely without parking and never made time for myself to even fly.
The more I wanted out of FS9, the more I would find things that were lacking. Now I mostly fly FSX and I am trying to port everything old and new to this product. I hope to eventually return to building parking assignments and such and perhaps pass along to MAIW for package considerations. Thank you again to all.

As for myself, there are many models I would love to see built. But the one thing that I can live with is that I have neither the talent nor the time to build models or even learn to paint (much as I might want too)

But I do appreciate the talent and abilities of all the contributors to MAIW; and because of that when any model or paint or FP is released I celebrate and when something is not created I wait patiently.
As these efforts are free products I think there is no room for personal complaints (not that there is a lot of complaining either)
I would encourage all who have the time and or talent to give it a try and offer a model or paint to the community, there's enough of a knowledge base here at MAIW to turn any project into a first class product
Keep up the great work guys - but... - do it at
your pace!

Thanks Allen. It is encouraging to see all the original files being shared back and forth between the various users these days. We can't possibly get to them all and anything that the community does on their own is gravy for everyone else.
Now someone make some Mig-29 stuff available, the whole kit please!(FP's, paints, afcads, callsigns, etc.)

Whoa this was NOT my intention at all
This was supposed to be a vote for one of the polls above and then discuss here what you are looking forward to the most, it doesn't even have to necessarily be available/in production yet. I know the F-18 is a long, long way aways I was just simply stating that the day it rolls out (how ever many years from now that it) will be an awesome day to me.
DEFINETLY wasn't meant to detract from MAIW's work, we all know how hard it is to put out these works and how much free time you put in. And while yes there are some of of those "when will this be ready?" people out there this was NOT supposed to be that kind of topic.
I too find less and less time to fly as I'm constantly doing AFCADs so I too can understand what you all go through. Like I said, this isn't a "Hurry up and finish that damn thing" topic just a place to talk about what the top 2 things you dream of seeing in MSFS. Both AI, scenery, whatever it may be.
Sorry if it came out as a negative looking posting, but those of you who know me on here know I'm not one of those "Is it ready yet? Is it ready yet? Is it ready yet?...." people.
(PS - thanks to the mods for changing the topic name)
