CARRIER AI TRAFFIC?

Post by jinx »

HAS ANYONE MADE AI TRAFFIC FOR THE AIRCRAFT CARRIERS?

I am no expert but I have made some for the ALPHASIM USS ENTERPRISE, and have even made two or 3 packs for my own use, one of USN jets of the 60's, and one with RN FAA aircraft.
I had great fu with those at the time, but I did not upload them as the ship is payware and many of my AI a/c were flyable a/c used as ai, a lot by Kazunori Ito and some of my repaints of some with markings of the mide 60's--like a C-1 Trader, a Grumman Tracker, etc.
I still have all those files on CD's, though not currently installed in fs9.

With the afcads for the Enterprise it was a case of trial and error and lots of testing, but the result was okay at the end.

One can do the same for the ALPHA KUZENTSOV and other carriers around, freeware ones.

jinx,

Yes, I have created AFCADs and FP's for a number of different US and UK carriers, but I used special AI models and FDE's created by Nick Black and myself respectively. These were primarily proof of concept projects with an eye toward creating some MAIW Carrier packages sometime in the future.

I moved the USS Stennis to the east coast off of Norfolk and made an AFCAD (and a flatten file). I have made a flight plan for Navy AI H-60 that takes off from NAS Norfolk (NGU) and flies out to the carrier, does a bunch of CarQuals (touch & go's) and returns to Norfolk. It works for me.

I remember an old, and never published, project made by some fantastic guys.
It was flightsimmer's forum time, before MAIW ...
I wish that wonderful job will not lose ...
