Sometimes I wonder how things like this could happen. I am sure both aircraft were aware of each other. Hopefully it was not something like I-show-you-what-this-bird-is-able-to-do thing. I remember having heard such stories in my active time. One of those situations ended up in a crash of a Tornado on the Family's Day

To those that are familiar with this aircraft: SPILS was switched of resulting in a stall and the aircraft could not be recovered. The pilot does not fly anymore and IIRC it was the second ejection seat experience for the WSO. Therefore he was also grounded.

The dead are 2 RAF flying instructors and 2 teenage female Air Cadets on a 20 min air experience flight - the two girls are thought to be related (cousins).
Utterly tragic.

Completely heartbreaking story; a devastating time for the families, especially those of the two Air Cadets.
Our thoughts and prayers to all affected by this terrible accident.
Well done to the first responders, although they too must be torn by this event.
RIP
