Hey I have a silly question for anyone who knows lol....
When aircraft go TDY somewhere, how/where do they carry the engine covers?? Obviously not a big issue on say a KC-135 or C-5, but for an F-16??

It's an airshow. Emphasis on 'show'.
I would say a bit of unit pride in showing us the entire package.

Some more modern fighters actually have areas in the internal bays, for the basic covers. Otherwise from experience there has to be a trial aircraft to fly with them. We used to send a small land-away team ahead in a van for short trips to airshows, with a few lacons with support kit in.
