Hi folks,

Because I'm in the UK in July, I'm planning to visit the Air Tattoo. Looking for some advice: would it be better to go on saturday or on sunday? How about the public grandstand? Is it worth the money?

David,

It doesnt really matter which day from my own previous experience, unless any of the visitors are only performing 1 specific day as I believe the Thunderbirds did one year. The grandstand is a great place to be if you want to spend all day taking photos of the jets, but to be honest if you are wanting to do that you can get there early and get a good spot along the barrier, plus there is so much to see and so many stalls that you'll want to explore as well.

I think I'll be going Saturday this year. As long as the weather holds up of course.

I used to go on Friday which is when the a/c arrive. So you see stuff flying which are on the static rows. The return on the 'public' days to watch the displays.
