Any Gmax users out there?

Do it like it in the real world. You know who you are. You can make the best looking aircraft part but not the whole aircraft. Why not bless us with your excellent art and coperate and build a really nice aircraft.

Wing factory. You know how to make the droupy wings that flex.

Landing Gear. Oh you know who you are. Make all those brake lines and nick naks.

Canopy group. Oh come on That just cool!

Flight crew. Just ask Nick

Paint Groupe. Your Killing Me Larry. Locals you know the joke.

This is the way I see the field.

Paint Groupe. Top fast movers. Very Hungy for meat to paint.

This is where I know you guys are going to kick my ass for talking about this.

Can't we just build the planes first and release them. Then let the package crews do what they do best? It takes a long time for each groupe to to there there thing.

We need a low poly aircraft builders referance doc that makes sure we are on the same page for FSSD an GMAX construction.

You know what you do very well, but we need a standard for all to make it better. Coperate. :)

You are the finest groupe of artists I have seen in a long time.

Thank You So much for doing what you do.

You get the idea.

I'm going to chime in on this b/c I used to be, how should I say it...a headhunter for a large AI group. So I know how it is when you group several talented people together for a single project.

Your idea is not new but to those that don't realize what goes into modelling I can tell you it would cause many more problems than you can imagine.

The biggest hurdle is simply the fact that while there are many talented modellers, some of them right here, none of them do things the same way.
Each has his/her own style and methods.
Trying to get everyone on the same page would prove to be very difficult if not impossible.
And then you throw in the time each person has to spend on a specific model. Some have several days a week..others barely have a few hours a month.
The communication factor is also a bit to deal with. We literally have members across the globe.
You think it takes too long to put a package together now, just wait until modeller A is waiting on that landing gear animation from modeller B..but wait...modeller B is waiting on a part from modeller C...and it snowballs into a slow moving process.

Suffice to say, each man is his own factory.

The great thing about MAIW is that we/they encourage anyone/everyone to have a go at building your own package.

Don't hesitate to ask anyone for help either. These are some of the finest AI people in this hobby and one of the things we/they like to do the most is help others.

I'm So Sorry everybody. I just wanted plans for standard to build my planes to live up to what you would expect. This was not a Hijack attempt. :(

No problems Jeff.
The thing is everyones standards are different. That is what makes it so difficult to get everyone on the same page at once.

If you have a specific question regarding modelling just ask. I'm sure you'll get the help you're looking for. :D :D
