The 21-year-old pilot, Assaf Ramon, was the son of Israel's only astronaut, Ilan Ramon, who died in the explosion of the space shuttle Columbia in 2003.

Ah man, that's terrible.

I kenw Ilan Ramon took part to the first ever war action of an F-16, when they bombed the Iraqi nuclear plant of Osirak (1982), and he was rather young, but I didn't know the Israeli had such young pilots!
