Let me introduce back here a thread about NBAI EF Typhoons.
I think it will help explain the project status to non-MAIW folks.

Here's progress pic showing A-10 pilots sitting in T.1 model (surprisingly same guys were lately spotted in a new A-37 :P ):

Flying is like riding a bike. When you flew one plane you can fly all :wink:

Rysiek, I forgot to ask your permission for setting your pilot in the A37 as it was in the T 37 continuity...apologize :oops:

Not at all Pascal, these are a donation to MAIW circle, I'm curious what they are suppose to fly in a near future 8)
I should remind however that their uniforms are by Graham King :wink:

Featuring up to now:
* 10 loadouts for F2 type (incl.maritime and Q-fit) + 3 loadouts for T1
* an animated canopy and front elevators
* A-10 pilots
* a reliable spoiler (opens ONLY when decelerating on landing)
* newest FDE 2.4 by 'Magic' Mike

Purpose of the beta - to get approval for all the models, loadouts and FDE, before LODs will start (there is LOD005 inside already, however).

These birds are looking really great. I'm looking forward to the first package with these models. I was wondering, in the two seater model, with 2 A-10 pilots, will both pilots be moving in sync or is there a way to get them out of sync, or perhaps where back seat guy starts his amimation only 1/4 as often as front seat guy. Well, you know what I mean. Just curious if it is possible, or desirable.

OK,
looks that newest v2.5 FDE for NBAI EF Typhoons works very good (in FS2004 constraints :wink: ):

I don't mean to sound pushy, but how long (roughly) until the Ai Typhoon is released?

shouldn't be much longer, patience is always rewarded 8)

A question, guys:
NBAI Typhoons do have flaps but Nick did not animated them, I think.
When I look at pictures:
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1162823/L/
http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1171107/L/
I don't see Typhoons use the flaps generally (only as a kind of spoilers in the last phase of landing).
So my question is - is it OK to leave Typhoons flaps as they are now (not moving) or do I have to make them animated:
- for take off?
- for landing?

Hi Rysiek,
Looking at video clips at
http://www.flightlevel350.com
None show flaps being used during takeoff or landing.
The control surfaces on the Typhoon being Flaperons rather than conventional Flaps and Aelerons.
You could try asking a question at the Mil section of www.pprune.com and see if a Typhoon pilot will answer your question with more information on there use.
But I assume Nick did not animate them due to non use as conventional type flaps.
Regards,
Steve.
