Hello everyone.

Does anyone know if there is a repaint available of MAIW F-117A in the HAVE BLUE camo?
I have had a good look around and am unable to find anything.

If not, is there a paintkit available for the MAIW F-117A ?

Thanks in advance

John

Have Blue is not a -117 as modeled.
It actually preceded the Nighthawk.

You are right about HAVE Blue being the forerunner to F-117, however, one F-117 was painted in the HAVE BLUE paint scheme.

I believe the tail number used was 780 although this may need confirming.

There is some more info here - http://wapedia.mobi/en/F-117_Nighthawk -including a "Grey Dragon" colour scheme. I seem to remember there being a camo repaint on Avsim although I don't think it was for Nicks AI model.

MAIW F-117 is from Kevin Reed, not from Nick.

We can probably get Kevin to track down his PSP file for that model way back when and get you what you need. Might be a while as Kevin has been fighting the flu I believe and hasn't been on the forums much lately.

@ MIKE JG

I know what you mean about the flu, only just recovered myself. It would be good if you could track down Kevin, but theres no rush. It was just something I fancied doing to give us something a bit unusual flying out of Groom Lake, maybe do a flightplan where it crops up in unexpected places ( Edwards, China Lake etc, etc ).

@ jaguar1

Good spot with the link you provided, I like the grey scheme !
After a bit more digging about I found an F-117 in grey with a silhouette of HAVE Blue on the upper surface...( quite cool ) and a pure white one at Palmdale Ca.

@ TonkaRepairMan, I really Like those pics from plant 42 at Palmdale. I haven't seen the all white F117 before.

@ Bismark, Thanks for correcting me, of course the MAIW F117 was Kevins creation. Soz Kev, my bad....

i'm not sure if the pictures made it out or not, but my buddy in the LO shop painted one of the 117's in the same paint as used on the 22 for testing, it looked crazy. was a couple years back. i'll see if I can find the pictures of it.

I still have the F-117A paintkit tucked away somewhere.

Do you have somewhere I could put a 20mb+ file for you?

You will have to compromise on the 3 tone Have Blue scheme, the inner tail textures are mirrored. I didn't forsee a problem with doing that at the time.

I had done a nice F-117A that had the Skunkworks logo on the underside, but couldn't get permission from Lockheed to use it :-( .

Kevin if you put it in my folder, I can then put it in the downloads section and PM him the link. Once he has it, it can be removed.

I worked the F-117's from 83-87 and did not see 780. Thanks for puting 790 in the flt sim package.
