The AlphaSim B-52 AI version (at least what AlphaSim calls a AI version) was part of the payware B-52 package. I use it to great success for my B-52 AI. At one time someone was developing a AI version. Maybe someone else can answer the status of that one.

The Alphasim AI model comes with the B-52, which is payware. Your freeware options, although not true-AI, are the M. Stone version and the KBT model.
The Stone model is light enough on frames that depending on your cpu specs you might be able to have a few flying around.
The KBT package includes what they call an AI version, but it's just the flyable one with some parts missing, not a true AI model. Both are on Flightsim.com

I would suggest that the Alphasim model isn't true AI either, considering the massive amount of textures and polys. I can't tell too much difference in performance with the Stone model.

Correct, they are about the same.
