PHNL Military AI traffic.

Hi everyone.
Can I ask, what Military traffic would normally be expected to be seen based or flying through PHNL?
You probably know by now, FSDT have released the long awaited PHNL for FS2004 and FSX, and I want to populate it with as much AI as I can.
I know the C-17 pack released by the team here is based there, but what else could I add to liven up the place a bit.
According to the Jepp charts, there's an ANG unit based here too.
Is there much transit traffic through to Guam, Saipan or Asia?
Thanks for any help or advice on this.

Yes to all of your questions. There are packs that add the KC-135s and F-15s of the Hawaii ANG. If you search FlightSim.com you should find what you are looking for. Note these are older, non MAIW packs.

Cheers Mike, that'll start the ball rolling at least.

Then if you look around here, you will find repaints (or links to) for the NBAI F-15 model used by the ANG folks. That should bring your Hickam AFB AI up to date for use with that great looking scenery.

Really neat looking Scenery.
The AFD will require quite some attention to accommodate the currently availabe Military AI though.

Wow, they really didn't bother with much parking research, did they?
Luckily that's easy to fix.... Probably what they expected anyway.

My guess is that they really don't care about Mil traffic and think that nobody else that buys their scenery does.

After having looked closer into the military area I can say they provided ample good looking but static military craft at the appropriate positions. Maybe they will provide the option to remove static AC together with a different AFD file!
The scenery however really looks good!

Willy from my understanding the static aircraft are their own .bgl file that you can easily remove.

Yeah Mike
That is exactly what I was doing following my last post apart from looking up some interference with my previously installed PHNL and surroundings. There were some undue Buildings present in the mil cargo area.
Its looking clean now ready for populating with mil parking spots.

I opened up the AF9 bgl and it looks like it could use quiet a bit of tweaking.

Hello All,
I know not everyone is using FSX, but consider this as a method I am using to populate the new PHNL.
Using AFX for FSX airport files has allowed me to copy parking spots from existing AFCAD/AFX files and paste them where they need to be in this new PHNL scenery. It is rather quick and painless and takes a few times to switch between the AFX files and to slew in FSX to where the parking needs to be then back to AFX (ctrl-c) the group of parking spots, the open the new AFX and ctrl-v the spots to your aircraft position and then align and connect the apron path or taxiway. Finally, reload the scenery.

Work in progress
trying to fit the MAIW parking spots to the scenery. (FS9)

This was my approach as well. The MAIW AFCAD provides plenty of parking assignments. I discovered that the ANG F-15 spots do not line up with the sun-shades. I re-worked my parking spots slewing an F-15 from sun-shade to sun-shade and drawing new links between the spots and the taxiways.
I hope all is well for everyone else.
