Odd timing situation

Hey there, I've run into an odd phenomenon I can't make sense of. I have some F-16s on a weekly plan to fly. If I start at the airport and fly with them, they fly jsut fine, but if I start somewhere along their flight plan or at their destination at the time they are supposed to arrive, they never show up. I've troubleshot this every way I can. Ican maek other aircraft on other flightplans do it all the time. It's how I test various other AI approaches etc. I can't for anything make these aircraft be where they are supposed to be when they are supposed to be there unless I fly their plan with them.
It seems the FSX AI engine is weird when it comes to this stuff, MAIW traffic and user-generated flightplans in particular. If I start in the middle of nowhere at a specific time that places both stock and MAIW in the area, then slew away until they disappear from the traffic map, then slew back, only the stock aircraft reappear. The MAIW traffic do not reappear at all. The more I run these test, the more similar issues I find.
For instance, I flew with a flight of appaches to their destination and as soon as turn on final they disappear, but when I start at their destination and set the time to just before they should arrive, they show up and fly just fine.
Has anyone run into similar issues or found solutions to any of them?
Thanks,
~Josh
