Hello,

You need the WOAI installer to do a automatic install or manual extract. You cannot just unzip the download and put the one file into your aircraft folder this will not work. Go over to http://www.world-of-ai.com and download there installer this will give you all the information you will need to enjoy this package.

I expressed myself badly: I used the Installer, opting for manual installation, not automatic ...

Have you done Manual installs before? I'm just trying to judge your FS experiance, don't want to tell you stuff you may already know.

I had tried the automatic setup, which did not work out. So I opted for the manual, which also failed

I have to ask a basic question here, FS9 or FSX?

Most of the time its FSX users who have the problems (the MAIW staff just breathed a collective sigh of relief (I think)) :smt002

LOL! Yes, that's correct. We don't have much experience with FSX so if someone is trying to use the packages in FSX, we're not much help.

But FS9 we do know well!

Hang in there, we'll get you sorted out.

Hi antalves,

I noticed that you said that you put the 'Canadian Armed Forces' folder into the 'Flight Simulator/Aircraft' folder.
Was this actually what you did, or did you copy all the folders inside 'Canadian Armed Forces' into 'Flight Simulator'.
For example 'Canadian Armed Forces\addon scenery' into 'Flight Simulator\\addon scenery' etc.

If you did the first that is your problem, if you did the second then we can investigate further.

You know ... I do not even remember anymore. I am with the file folder 1, which contains what is in the 2

If you go into your "Aircraft" folder, is there a folder called "Canadian Armed Forces"?

If there is, you need to remove it from your "Aircraft" folder.

Place it somewhere temporary, like on your desktop.

Now, inside this "Canadian Armed Forces" folder are a number of other folders and files. Copy the 4 folders, and drop them into your "Flight Simulator 9" folder. This will place all the package elements correctly into your FS9 installation.

HTH,

Dan

EDIT: In the pictures in your post above, you are showing us what is in your "Canadian Armed Forces" folder. But where is this folder on your computer?

antalves,

The simplest way is to copy all of the files from file folder 1, except WOAI.cfg, into your Flight Simulator folder. Mine is called 'F:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9'.
The system will copy the files from the 'Aircraft' folder in to your 'Flight Simulator\Aircraft' folder and so on.

Also would I be right when I think that you are using Vista? As Vista itself can cause some issues and you may need to alter something.

I'll tell what I did (see Figure 1)
- I opened the Addon Scenery folder and put the contents in Microsoft Games / Flight Simulator / Scenery
- The Aircraft folder without opening, installed in Microsoft Games / Flight Simulator / Aircraft
I know that is not right, did not work
I'm with DualBoot on my computer (XP + Seven), and FS9 is on XP

There is you problem in your first line. You must put all folder contents from the package in the same named folder in your FS directory. So the addon scenery folder must be copied to your addon scenery folder in FS.
Then aircraft folder to aircraft folder.
Then Scenery folder to Scenery folder.

Hi Antalves,

You say you put the contents of "Addon Scenery" into your "Microsoft Games / Flight Simulator / Scenery" folder. This is wrong.

It needs to go into your "Microsoft Games / Flight Simulator / Addon Scenery" folder, not your "/ Scenery" folder. They are different folders!

Do not put your "Aircraft" folder into your "Microsoft Games / Flight Simulator / Aircraft" folder. Instead, put the contents of your "Aircraft" folder into your "Microsoft Games / Flight Simulator / Aircraft" folder.

HTH,

Dan

EDIT: To be honest, you would be better off doing an automatic installation until you are more familiar with what is supposed to go where. Manual installations of these packages are for "advanced" users. You are free to choose, but that is my advice.
