Tom Cruise and his magical flying bike

I have just seen the weirdest thing in FS9. I was just having a fun flight down San Diego way in an AH-1W Super Cobra blasting down the beaches. I was just about to pass Miramar when, to my surprise, Tom Cruise flew past on a motorbike.

I knew he was in the Top Gun package but I didn't know he did E.T. impressions. Honest to God, he was cruising along at just under 500 feet and about 80 knots, heading out to sea. I nearly crashed I was laughing that hard.

Is it just me or has anyone else had Tom come flying at them?

Clarke123,
What you saw is an unfortunate consequence of the way I flightplanned Maverick and his bike to cruise down the highway parallel to the Miramar runways at 78 KTAS. When he runs out of highway at a Miramar's elevation of 478 feet he continues to cruise west at 478 feet MSL until he disappears. I'm glad you didn't crash and I hope you enjoyed the humorous distraction.

LMAO.... Yeah the bike takes off at 100 knots when made flyable. But I never seen it do it by it self.
Shame you never got a screen shot.

Mike - Humorous distraction! Nearly fell off my seat.

That's my new favourite thing about that package now.
Mark - I did manage to recreate it using chase view. He drives down the road reaches the runway bit and accelerates to 85 knots. The terrain on my system makes him drive off a hill, he sinks a few feet, stabilizes and rides out to sea.

OK I know I am going to get stuff thrown at me for this, deservedly so, but it is just too good to miss.
So you saw a Cruise missile?

Only a bit cornie!?
That was downright criminal, and I blame my father as I inherited his sense of humour.

Probably quite a lot, but most of it would be b*ll*cks anyway.
