I want to do tilting wheel bogies for the AI B2, I thought I'd cracked it by having them tilted on keyframe 100 and then straight again on keyframe 200. This didnt work they didnt totally level out when the weight was on them on the ground. How do I do this guys, any thoughts?

Yeh thanks mate but I didnt really want to do it xml, I thought you should be able to just animate it as you do the bouncing suspension. Ah well maybe not bother.

Thanks anyway

IIRC it goes (something) like this

keyframe
100 - gear down in air
on landing animates to
200 - max compression
then settles back to
150(ish) standard height on ground

though of course, I may be totally wrong on this

to summarise, try animating it so they are straight at keyframe 150

Ha, done it. It occured to me, you an animate the gear, frame 0 stowed, frame 100 down and locked, frame 200 suspension compressed. So I needed the gear bogie to hang in keyframe 100 and then reset level as soon as the gear hit the ground, so I had it set tilted at 100 and level at 200. This means that it takes 100 frame to go from tilted to level, We dont want that, so I put an extra key in at 101 and levelled the gear out. This way as soon as the gear hits the deck it levels out, and as soon as you take off it tilts. YEY

So ... no XML needed there?
