Need some help?

I have inserted an airfield in Russia (Zhukovsky, flight test centre) where there is no MS default one. I have the airport & runways at 375 ft on AFCAD, I have the airport at 375 ft on the traffic file & 375ft on the exclude file. My problem is, all the aircraft hover approx a foot above the ground & I can`t understand why?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I got that wrong, its not the exclude file, its the flatten area.

The airport, runway and start location elevations all need to be set for the same number. Have you checked the start location elevations?

Do these AI aircraft appear correctly at other airports?

Edit - I assume this is UUBW - Ramenskoye Airport - part of the Gromov Flight Research Institute - located southeast of Moscow - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airport_Ramenskoye - Not Chkalovskoe which is home of the dozens of stored military aircraft which is Z25Y in FS2004 and FSX.

Hi Reggie
Yes it is UUBW, I thought I would populate it, as there is a lot of Russian AI out at the moment.
I have the airport, runways & start locations all set to the same altitude in AFCAD as you asked. I have taken out the flatten switch, & the same thing happened, so it can`t be that. In the traffic file (airports), the airport is also at the same altitude as the AFCAD. I cannot understand what it could be?
I have checked all the aircraft used at a default airfield & they are all ok there, so it must be something I have done wrong with the AFCAD.
I think I will start all over again from scratch & see what happens.
Thanks very much for trying to help me out.
I will keep the faulty afcad saved though, as you or someone might come up with a solution & I can try it out?

Again thanks

Dave

Where did you download the scenery / airfield?

Hi Reggie
Its only an AFCAD, there is no scenery & I have done it from scratch as there was nothing there from the default simulator .
I have now made another one & everything seems ok at the moment.

There is an afcad for UUBW in the Eastern European Afcads series on Avsim, eeuafcads*.zip.
