Sweet now I won't have to spend 25 minutes loading up the PMDG version just to take some screenshots.

Totally awesome plane. I've only been turned to POSKY because of the handful of aircraft that have VC's. What blows my mind is that they completely refuse to do a VC 737 or 747 (according to their forums). I guess that's what I get for being a VC snob. :wink:

You could try altering the max nosewheel steering angle in the Aircraft.cfg file.

Hard steering could be a result of not having the Posky Files in yor panel. Refer to their readme.

Just found the parameter that changes the steering on aircraft. I had it with the alphasim U-2 and tweaked it to turn a bit tighter...makes it much more enjoyable to drive.

in the Aircraft.CFG...

"max_number_of_points=10
point.0=1.0, 37.0, 0.0, -7.50, 1181.10, 0.0, 1.64,53.70, 0.80, 2.50, 0.90, 6.0, 6.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0..."

The 8th value can be modified (raised/lowered) to increase/decrease (respectively) turning radius while taxiing. in the above values...the number 53.70...lowering it would give it a larger turn radius or looser handling.

Pats himself on the back.....

In case anyone is curiouse, this is the order for the contact points:

[contact_points]
0 = Class
1 = Longitudinal Position (feet)
2 = Lateral Position (feet)
3 = Vertical Position (feet)
4 = Impact Damage Threshold (Feet Per Minute)
5 = Brake Map (0=None, 1=Left, 2=Right)
6 = Wheel Radius (feet)
7 = Steer Angle (degrees)
8 = Static Compression (feet) (0 if rigid)
9 = Max/Static Compression Ratio
10 = Damping Ratio (0=Undamped, 1=Critically Damped)
11 = Extension Time (seconds)
12 = Retraction Time (seconds)
13 = Sound Type

Just remember that when you change even one value, it may have an effect on other parts of the model's behavior.

Mark it's freeware, you can find it on Flightsim.com It comes with the boom permanently extended though.

Thanks Mike. I guess the developer forgot that he could make the boom animate at a certain height, etc.

It's an older model, probably done before people really started to figure out the XML coding.
