Heads Up, New Freeware KC-135R released

For the tanker lovers out there, PremairAircraft has released their freeware KC-135R for FS9/X. A nice basic model that can be used for all sorts of things including online play and FS Recorder flights. The boom is animated off a command that can be recorded with the Recorder module so it will play back correctly during subsequent flights.

They modeled reversers on the CFM-56 engines which the real life version does not use. So just don't use them or edit them out of the cfg entry for maximum realism, or cheat and use them for ultra quick stops!

I cannot put my finger on it but the model looks a little strange to me in the photo's. I'm going to have to download it and see it up close.

The fuse is a bit "off" IMO, not round enough and a bit too stubby. BUT I still think it's a great little model, the VC is very functional and very easy on fps. If they ever do a V2, I'm sure it will be even better.

It definitely needs some FDE adjustments as well. Way overpowered and handles more like a fighter than a tanker.

I'd stay with HJG's.

IDK if it was mentioned but HJG did a very good KC-135 (various models and paints available for it too)

It was about 4 posts up. Their version is a little more basic, no VC with it.
