Make sure you do not have more than one AFCAD file for Aviano, search ALL of your folders.

And there-in lies your problem, the stock Aviano has no parking spots; you may have to hunt around for an AFCAD but I can't remember there been one on either of the two main sites - you may have to go hunting

Do you have a third-party Aviano scenery installed? Cloud 9 perhaps? That's the only thing I can think of, the default Aviano has no parking spots at all, so aircraft could do touch and goes, but if they tried landing, they would disappear once on the runway - however it does sound like you may have a stray LIPA file floating around somewhere, if you say that you have aircraft parked there already.

What day of the week are you looking at the AI traffic at Aviano?

Are you trying different days?

Most military AI does not fly on Sunday, and little on Saturday.

Yes, I remember when the military flew seven days a week - but that days are long gone.

Please attach the modified airport parking file you are using for LIPA. The FSX default airport only has one parking spot - a Fuel spot.

Just to make sure I have this right.

You are using FSX.

The Traffic file is in FS2004 format.

The 'AFCAD' was done with Airport Design Editor in the FS2004 mode. The AFCAD has 23 parking spots set to 9M and 35 spots set to 12M for the 47 aircraft in your traffic file.

Is that all correct?

Your traffic file is set for FS2004 days of the week - so there is no activity on Monday. After 0858 UTC Tuesday (1058 local time) 23 F-16 aircraft taxi out and takeoff correctly on my test LIPA airport. I've got four B-1B aircraft on the ground at that time, along with a G-IV, and a DC-9 and Lear 35 from some Ed Kooymans/Peter Bos flightplans. I had a C-141 from my personal FP land at 0948 UTC.

Your FP has at least 15 F-16 aircraft flying from Aviano to Lajes non-stop on Tuesday (FSX) / Monday (FS2004).

I'm going to test your ADE9 file in a little bit.

When i turn the traffic file into fsx format no aviano aircraft will show only other aircraft and in fs2004 format they show up but they don,t leave.
As for the afcad its in fsx format as fas as i now i only added some parkingspots because its can be very busy sometime,s but i think its the traffic file that is wrong some how

Your ADE9 file test just fine. The taxiways and runway are a bit out of position for the default taxiway signs - but the AI takeoff and land correctly.

Again, just to be sure - you do see the 30-40-50 F-16 aircraft parked at LIPA - correct?

What is your UTC offset?

You need to set at 0858 UTC, which may or may not be 1058 local time on your setup.

Which version of FSX are you using? FSX Regular or Deluxe? RTM, SP1, SP2 or Acceleration?

It's going to take me a while to reconfigure to have an FSX setup where I have FS9 traffic files with your traffic file.

Okay, I've reset my AI to use only FS9 format traffic files. Renamed several F-16 aircraft so I can use your traffic.bgl file without a recompile - in the exact format as you posted the file. I've used your airport file. I still seen plenty of activity, takeoffs and landings.
