-------------------Rant begins------------------------------------------------

*&^%,*&^%$£", ()*&^%$£"£!, garages, are all a bunch of stupid ^&%$£"!&(*(^%$$££"£"£$^&^&&***!!!

All very well these folks servicing vehicles and putting wheels on with their compressed air windy guns, but just how in the name of all that's holy are us lesser mortals (sans windy guns) meant to get the ^&%$*() wheel nuts off! :x :x :x

Trying to get a stone out of my brake caliper today and despite standing on the wheel brace (All 16-17 stones) the &*^%$£" things just would not move!!!

Eventually got the stone out by making like a gynaecologist and performing the operation through the wheel rim.

*!"&"%£$*! :x :x :x :x :x

------------------------------------------rant over-------------------------------------------------------

Have a nice day

Stew,

I have experienced similar problems removing lug nuts so I now carry in my cars 3 foot sections of the correct inside diameter pipe to slip over the end of my lug nut wrenches so as to get the leverage necessary to remove the lug nuts. :-x

It's not Monday anymore but saw the rant just yet. I am more or less in torque tool biz. In modern car factories they use electronic tools with well defined torque when tightening. Air pressurized tools work may work as well but you have to know how to use them - don't go with Tim Taylor: "More power!"

Or you may get you one of those:

Ok, that one may be a bit oversized as it is for lorry wheels :)
