Hi everyone

Just woundering what C5 to get. could you advise?

If you are referencing the C-5 Galaxy....

Save your money and get the freeware model by Mike Stone. It flies great, is free, and numerous paints are available.

I bought the Alphasim version but did not care for the way that it handles or renders visually on my machine(s). However, the Alphasim panel is great.

Don't know much about the Area 51 model, but have heard mixed reviews. At any rate I am not much for payware in the first place...

The AS version is probably the best of the payware lot. I'm not sure where you get it now that they have closed up shop. It has however got the best VC and 2D panel and probably flies the most realisticly of the payware models although the ground handling is a bit sketchy (takes nearly full power to taxi).

What Mike JG said, I have the Alphasim C-5 , as mentioned above taxi issues, full power to get moving. And of course the Mike Stone model, nothing fancy but it works well. I fly the C-5, and C-141 more than any other aircraft so go with the Alphasim C-5 if you can. Have a great flight.

VC in the Mike stone version?

Negative, like most of his models no VC, but as stated it's a good FREE model and I found a pretty workable panel for it (not the default 747). Low poly enough for AI too, unless you saw the home page screenies!
