What are the bases that are wanted? I just thought a list would be nice. Maybe Ill even get off of my rump and do a scenery.
Please do it like this for ease of reference:
(Country and service)-US Air Force or if its a joint base then list all services that use it.
(State/provence/region/or whatever)-New York
(ICAO)-KIAG
(Name and whether its active or guard)-Niagra Falls Int. ANGB
That is my airport Id like BTW but i cant get any pics so I cant do it yet.

I'll throw it out...
It's Kaneohe MCAF. As the name implies it is a Jarhead base, though the Navy has P-3's, H-60's & C-20's here. Not to mention We see our fair share of USAF C-5, C-17(from Hickam doing bounce flights), C130(actually all services for the Herc) VC-37, C-40C, Along with Navy C-40A's crossing the pacific.
US
Hawaii
PHNG
Kaneohe MCAF.
At one time I did have AI written for this base, as well as all the Hawaii bases(execpt Hickam) It included Army, Navy and Marines. Already had a decent AI Package from David O'Brien covering Hickam. But an install error with FSGenisis Hawaii Mesh I lost all AI files, and like a dumbass didn't have a back-up of the Hawaii stuff. Getting ready to start re-writing it, as soon as I can figure out my tree problem in Hawaii...

P-3,
Before you rewrite everything, I've covered the Hickam F-15s, C-130s and KC-135s in the AK and Islands ANG Package. File name is ai_ang4.zip available on flightsim.com or Simviation here
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004scenery62.htm
Might save you a few hours worth of work.

So it's only for USAF bases?

Well, I for one would like to see RAF Lakenheath done for the F-15's (EGUL), there is a pretty good freeware Mildenhall (EGUN) available, but if you wanted to do both I wouldn't object.
*EDIT*
So after re-reading the first post in this thread :-
UK
Suffolk
EGUL
Lakenheath USAFE
UK
Suffolk
EGUN
Mildenhall USAFE

Hi mate,
Absolutely not. USAF will play a large part, because
a) They have a huge base/squadron/aircraft list for us to draw on
b) We have a lot of guys from the US and a fair few serving with US Forces.
However, we will be doing military stuff from all over the world (once we get fully operational).
So if you have a specific base in mind let us know, thats what this is all about.
Cheers
Stewart

Well, I have been searching for a while for EGVA/Fairford .
You can't find a more impressive Air Display than the RIAT .
I now have the Payware Alphasim RAF Fairford ( not that expensive ), but maybe because of he price I am not really satisfied with it .
I made an AFcad for that one, and I would like to ask ; does anyone know about taxiways and prefered parking stands at EGVA ?
Those who are interested in an AFcad, drop a mail to ;

I can use GoogleEarth but with it you cant building detail, just placement and the general shape. Its agreat tool but It does have limitations that only pics can fill. Plus many airports/bases have not been covered with hi-res pics yet.

Silvester,
I dont know if it'll be of any use but I did an AFCAD for Fairford for my RAF Op Bolthole package of Brize Norton AI late last year (filename egva_ai.zip), it may be useful to you, though the parking slots are based on the RAF AT parking while we were there.

Taking some time to think about this subject it occurs to me that maybe we should make space on the list for packages that have have been released or coming up.
So as there is no decent freeware for the Tornado bases, Marham and Lossiemouth, for Fernando's offering plus for Nick's Typhoon, Coningsby and down the line Leuchars. There are a number of bases that would love an upgrade to go with Fernando's upcoming Phantom's.
Also what about B-1,B-2 and B-52 bases which need an upgrade ?

Very true, Steve. I was gonna suggest the following actually, (assuming they all still use the B1B) for when I get to releasing the BONE.
US
Kansas
KIAB
McConnell AFB (Assuming they still fly the B1B there with ANG, I thought I saw something saying they had disbanded)
US
South Dakota
KRCA
Ellsworth AFB
US
Texas
KDYS
Dyess AFB

B-1s are sadly long gone from McConnel now.
Hasnt someone made some simple (read: rwy12/afcad) sceneries for Dyess and Ellsworth?
You can always fill up my Diego Garcia scenery

Thats a shame the KANG was close to my heart. Does anyone know of a site where there is a list of USAF Units. I tried looking on
www.af.mil but cant find the same sort of thing that the RAF have on
www.raf.mod.uk

Get a subscription to Air Force Magazine, or check your local library. They have done a couple of 'specials' and they also do an annual "Air Force Almanac" that covers Commands, bases, personnel, locations, weapons systems, etc. Airman Magazine has a good online resource with similar materials. You can also order a hard-copy version. I will dig out the addresses.

Thanks KMTC, saved me digging it out again. The pub from Airman is called 'The Book'. the Air Force Magazine publishes the 'Almanac' as an issue once a year. There are both Aerospace and Space almanacs. The Almanac issue is $6.00 (US) and is available at
