Does MAIW support FS 2002. Are there any files to download on this sight pertaining to 2002. Thanks.

Hi Joel,
We don't support Fs2002 or FSX. They're designed and tested in FS9 only. They may work in that program but you'd have to find out on your own. Others may be able to offer advice tho.

That's a good question. I don't personally know, never had FS8, but someone around here probably does know. Give it a couple days and someone should have an answer for you.

Don't know for the aircrafts, but I'm sure that AFCAD do not work in FS2002 because the AFCAD for FS9 has a .bgl format, the FS8 was in .txt.
Furthermore, FS8 supported only one traffic file.

As mention above - the AFCAD's are useless in FS2002 - you have to find a version of AFCAD v1 and create your own airport parking. It is much harder in FS2002 than FS2004 because AFCAD only displays the taxi lines - no aprons, buildings, etc.

Also as mentioned above - there can be only one traffic file in FS2004 - so aircraft numbering becomes a challenge. You have to combine all the packages into one aircraft.txt file, one airports.txt file (just use a big one with all the FS2002 airport) and one flightplans.txt file.

You have to use TTools for FS2002 to compile the traffic file. FS2002 does not support or use TNG - so you have to edit all those out and change the FP.

Aircraft - many of the MAIW aircraft may show but in a somewhat distorted fashion. XML based animations will not work in FS2002.

Thanks for the reply, I forgot about the difference in afcads and some aircraft. It would take a lot of work to get it going in 2002. I have 2004 but that computer is giving me problems. Guess I'll hold out til I get that straightened out.
