Believe the range is to the North of Blavand. On GE there are various pics of bunkers etc in that area.

Hi Jim
I had seen those bunkers but i think they are ww2 vintage
I was looking for gunnery targets or target circles
The only thing that looks likely is the big V at 55 34.688N - 8 7.203E
nothing else looks probable
unless someone can spot something, I have looked all over, lots of tracks
Cheers

There are 2 ways of doing this.PM one of the active air traffic controllers ( there's one civilian Belgium controller and a couple that are military types .) here on MAIW and get them to ask the Flight planning office that they deal with to get the info you need . It won't be classified info as pilots need this to file a flight plan into or near the area concerned .
The other DIY way is in a PM I've sent you .
Cheers

Hi gary,
It looks like a army range only from the pictures although thats not to say aircraft make dry (gun camera only) attacks against the tanks or other targets. Having said that maybe this was from an aircraft.

There are a few more pics pointing at a army range in the area.

Sorry,by your avitar thought it was you .But I see by google that the avitar refers to a military ACC .In North America there ain't no such animal .All ACC's here are civilian . So you'd be the guy to best answer Garry's question

I wish I had the same salary as my civilian colleagues, but I get to play with fighter jets and they don't
The airspace structure is indeed totally different than in Canada or the States. We (Belga Radar) control all OAT in the Brussels FIR/UIR above the Transition Altitude of 4500'. Brussels ACC controls all GAT below FL245 and Maastricht UAC above FL245.

But we used to prefer to get a service from you even though we were only at 1000'

Doesn't really sound so different if one thinks of Belga, Bruxels and Maastricht as "sectors" instead of 3 individual ACC's
We got to play with F series as well .My career best was "creating " the most noise complaints ( 278) in 2 hrs at YUL .
2 F-111's arrived for Canadair's 50th and I very innocently asked them how their fuel situation was. their reply ,they some to "burn"
VFR circuits were approved capped @ 12.5 with a time limit of 8 minutes . The 111's did their CCT's only vertically to 12000 but WITHIN the confines of the airport . Phraseoligy was absolutely perfect, by the book, from moi and the lead 111 . the only flak I did get was due to 1/2 the YUL ACC emptying to watch the show . Management enquiry concluded that
Phraseoligy was very profesional and by the book .
The A/C conformed to jets must do downwinds @ 3.0 minimum due to noise abatement .
Yours truly kept them > the airport confines thereby keeping them away from noise sensative areas .
The pilots were treated like royalty by Canadair due to their the spectacular show .
Canadian Dep't of Transport even thanked the Sdn and pilots for their professionalism in talking to Cdn. ATC and in keeping their formation close together
All to prove radar ,hotmike and audio tapes never lie

Salary ??? Satisfaction and respect for doing the job means a lot .Not that I complained about the $$$ .
World's best job, bar none !!

Ah yes but you'll notice that I deliberately used the world "control".

Of course we also give Flight Information Service in class G airspace below 4500'. Funny that we might have spoken to each other without knowing it, Cary.

Yes that's true for Brussels and Maastricht, but Belga shares the same airspace. And airspace over Belgium is so crammed that about 90% of my work consists of coordinating clear flight paths or corridors with the first two to get my flights across civilian airways to their training zones or destination.
