Intel® CoreTM i7 740QM (1.73GHz/6MB cache)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
15.6-inch WideHD+ 1600x900 (900p) WLED

512 (MB) NVIDIA GT240M GeForce®

Thanks much.

It all depends on what you want to do. Those laptops will run it just fine.
However, I have a quad 3.06, 16 gigs of ddr3 ram and dual gtx 460 cards....and I don't run fsx.

Jetmax,
Just following up on this as I am about to finally get a new laptop as my next deployment comes up. I've read FS9 doesn't need the HT of an i7, and a i5 will work just as well. I'm still on FS9, but need some of the weapon fx that FSX has to keep things interesting, so thinking I'll run both so I can fly the IRIS A-10. My two finalist are the Toshiba Q's and Asus G73 series, both have NO issues running FS9 at max sliders.
