I think I may have discovered what is causing the CTDs when attempting to go to DAAK. Bizarrely, it's the fact that the parking codes and types in the aircraft.cfg have been incorrectly coded that seems to be causing it. I too was suffering the CTDs until I changed them against each aircraft to the following:

atc_parking_codes=M003
atc_parking_types=MIL_CARGO

Give it a try and see if it fixes it for you too.

Just goes to show how such a simple thing can cause a CTD. Bet it explains a lot of the random crashes that we all seem to suffer from when we can have literally tens of thousands of AI aircraft installed. Don't ya just lurve FS9???!!!!

I experienced a similar issue just tonight: I found flightplans for Orient Thai Airlines on the AIG forums and installed them. The altitude for VTBS in the airports' txt file was wrong so the game didn't even load and eventually crashed.

I spent the last two days like a "plague spreader", asking myself: "How could happen a texture of mine caused problems to everybody? what did you do?"
Driven by publisher frenzy I copied the aircraft.cgf lines from another file, and I not thought it could be wrong due that banal error!
Now be careful: Freightshifters yemeni repaints could be affect by the same problem!

These are the file names charged:
fskm_iye_yemenia_cargo_pkg.zip
fskm_yaf_pkg.zip

That solved the problem for me too, many thanks Alan for the fix. Like you I now wonder how many of the, admitedly few, CTDs I've had could be down to this simple error.

I have the same problem with RATS Il-76 on the Globusworld package gw_223_rd_flightunit.zip.zip with CTD in the Moscow area.
Even though I corrected the same mistake with the inverted parking entry seen on the Algerian planes, the CTD recurs.
Does anybody has the same problem?

After my whole model swaps and everything else, to see something so simple is both frustrating and relieving! Thanks for posting that.

Mine seem to work fine. Have you tried re-saving the textures as DXT3 files? If you make the aircraft visible for the Select Aircraft menu and scroll through, if it is one of those paints it will crash out on one, hopefully narrowing it down.

Just installed that package, changed the incorrect entires in the aircraft.cfg file and all is well on my sim, sorry.

Try these files.
I modified airport area landclass and flatten layer.
I made an exclude.
afcad is not complete, but work.

Everything works fine now, there was another Globusworld Il76 package (gw_Il-76_interior_ministry_rf.zip.zip) with the same mistake.
