Here she is, the first Globemaster for the 445th. They must have really complained hard to get rid of their problematic C-5's. They only had them a couple years before upgrading to the C-17.

1/24/2011 - The 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, received its first C-17 Globemaster III Jan. 21, 2011. The aircraft is on loan from Joint Base Charleston, S.C. A maintenance field training team from Air Education and Training Command will begin training the wing's maintenance personnel on this aircraft. The 445 AW, an Air Force Reserve Command unit, is transitioning from flying and maintaining the C-5 Galaxy to the newer C-17.

Good thing they spent all that money building two new hangars to fit the C-5's......

Anyone want to paint this one real quick?

I saw one of these here at Kelly yesterday. I could quite make out the tail but I am now pretty sure it was a Wright-Pat bird.

if no one else jumps on it, I will do it Thursday.

I'd do it if I had the paint kit handy, but I don't.

They received their second C-17 last month, C-17A (93-0603). Mark do you want to do this one as well?

Yeah, I can would be fairly quick to do with the template already done. I am also going to upload the Morocco F-16's as well as the USCG C-130 for the centennial...hopefully all tonight, we shall see.

Anyone know the rest of the serials for this unit? They have all their C-17s now, just need the serials so we can finish the repaints.
