New FSDS tutorial video uploaded. This is the start of working with actual textures. It's roughly 50 minutes in length.

Not the best one I made but I was tired and didn't feel like re-doing some of the parts.

Note for this tutorial, you will need to download a sample texture file that is in the appropriate thread located in the Learning Center Forum.

I just finished recording all the videos for the texturing basics including finally getting around to texturing our sample hangar. It will take a couple days to get all the videos made and edited and then posted to our site.

After this set of videos we'll start with some specific tutorials on making different objects such as:
-Control tower
-Rotating Radar
-Hardened aircraft shelter
-Low polygon vehicles

.........and more eventually getting to an aircraft this summer hopefully.

Parts 1-4 of the texturing tutorials are now posted.

Five and Six will be posted later today.

By request, I will be creating a hardened aircraft shelter as the next tutorial in the series.

If there are other scenery items that you guys would like to see a tutorial for, please let me know.

Guys I've had almost no feedback on these tutorials. I think I'm wasting my time with them. Unless there is a dedicated interest, I'm not going to waste my time making these any longer.

Mike

I've just started going through your tutorials and I'm learning so much more quicker than I would if I was reading the same information.
You have inspired me to have a go at modelling and hopefully I will be able to turn out some Flight sim aircraft or scenery.
Please don't stop the tutorials as they are the best available.

Cheers Dave
