Cleaning out the leftover files stopped the crashing.Firebird wrote: ↑17 Nov 2023, 10:13 OK, but leaving the traffic file will not cause the error. It will just not find the aircraft that the flightplans are for.
Only effects that are attached to aircraft/scenery cause the error.
So now that you have everything cleaned out, does it crash at the checkpoint?

OK. So we have established a good point. So now re-download one package, and by all means make it a package that you know uses that base where you have the issue.
Re-downloading should remove the possibility of a corrupt download.
Install that one package, and make no other changes, and go to the checkpoint, what happens?

After testing, I've finally found the file causing the crashes.Firebird wrote: ↑18 Nov 2023, 09:46 OK. So we have established a good point. So now re-download one package, and by all means make it a package that you know uses that base where you have the issue.

It's Traffic_MIL_US_USMC_PENDLETON_KNFG_HMLA-469_FSX

The traffic file causes this or an aircraft in traffic file?
What happens when you load the traffic file into AIFP and validate it?
I have double checked my system and I get no errors BUT that is using the FS9 version of the package(s).
So I guess my next question is whether you have installed the AH-1Z and UH-1Y packages to go with the Pendleton package.

Pretty sure it's the file itself
I got all of the required aircraft, as they showed up fine before the game would crash.

OK in which case what I would do is use AIFP to create the 3 separate txt files, and then compile those after checking that there is no errors when opening them in a text editor.
See if that makes a difference.
