I can't see how there can be any commonality between the 767 and the ancient KC-135s. The 767, despite being quite old, is a 100% fresh design compared to the KC-135s. The most maintainance heavy parts of an aircraft are the engines , the landing gear, the various moving surfaces and the hydraulics ...

I hate it when you discover some bugs... I've spent most of the day re-building the entire flap/spoiler/wing trailing edge area. Still got to make the inboard flaps and animate them. And then there's the textures, which were supposed to be finalised ages ago!

The USAF tentatively ordered KC-767s, but that order was squashed by some fair trade thing. Apparently many people in the AF wanted the KC-330, being much more capable. The 767 is old technology (very few orders for the 767 recently, mainly top ups. But the A330 has just had one of it's best years ...

A Virgin Airbus A340 was climbing out of Heathrow for Los Angeles when the following was heard over the radio:
Tower: Virgin 445, Are you an A340 or A330?
Virgin 445: We're an A340, why do you ask?
Tower: Well switch your extra engines on and expedite climb to FL340!

(The Airbus A340, especially ...

Boeing want the USAF to replace the entire tanker fleet with the 767-200, and possibly the 777-200. But the 777 is overkill for the KC-10 (the Airbus/Northrop A330-200 based aircraft is much better in my opinion) but the 767-200 is OK for replacing the KC-135s. A bit big perhaps, but longish range ...

I found that coming back to my E-190 after a good rest found lots of errors aswell! It's quite refreshing to leave it for a bit.

Will you be doing a civie DC-10, or even an MD-11? (I wish Boeing hadn't dropped the MD-11, would have made a great replacement for the KC-10! :( :( )

Good to hear that it's not been abandoned. FSX offers nothing more than some eyecandy, in the form of a better light/rendering engine (but it has its problems with untextured parts) and fancy reflections etc on UI aircraft, and the animated jetways etc. I'm actually slightly disappointed with FSX ...

Looks very nice. Just one thing (I had to do it on my E-195) is to reduce the number of cross sections in the wing. I think that you only need 3, one at each end and the one in the middle. Also, never, ever use the Boolean operation in FSDS. It's really inefficient at cutting up polys. Andy Jarvis ...

How do you get it to kneel and have opening doors? And where does the ramp go when the door is closed? Can't wait for her to be finished though! :D
