A question to the F-15 experts out there:
What is that angular thing right below the canopy between pilot and WSO?

Some kind of forward-looking sensor?

Re: F-15SG question
I am going with a Low Tech answer and saying it's a step for the WSO. Is there one on the otherside?
Re: F-15SG question
It is also on the other side:

I suppose it's a part of that "Israeli-supplied electronic warfare system" that is mentioned here:

Re: F-15SG question
I thought the SG variant was equipped with front canards that extend and retract?

Re: F-15SG question
I must admit that I have never heard of that. The only canard version that I knew about was the Agile Eagle, which had fixed canards.

I was going to suggest that maybe that F-15SG pilot had stopped at one of those old A&W Root Beer stands for lunch and the car (plane) hop waitress had forgot to remove the tray.
