A small force (6 guys? + support personnel totaling about 20-30) attacked him, an intense firefight it was reported, in Abbottabad (sp?) about 125 miles inside of Pakistan, north of Islamabad. He was living in a mansion inside a walled compound in or near the town. No way the powers that be in Pakistan did not know all along about this. Apparently they had to kill everyone in the compound, which I had suspected all along. Either his bodyguards or our guys shot him, won't know that for a while. Apparently one chopper was damaged, which we destroyed to prevent passing into unfriendly hands. Otherwise we loss no one and no collateral losses reported. Can't wait for the full story to come out, as it must have been one hell of an operation. High praise to all involved who pulled this off. Hope they were able to pick up some good intel as well as his body. This is a great day, but not the end of the story, by any measure.

Congrats to the US Special Forces for killing Bin Laden and for revenging the thousands of the deaths of the innocent people who died on 9/11. Not forgetting the many hundreds of Brits who were working in the Twin Towers. My very good friend changed shifts and therefore escaped being killed. He left work 30 minutes before the attacks.

Congratulations to U.S. special forces. Our thoughts are with those families of 9/11 attack and hope this news brings them some form of closure and sense of justice being prevailed. It is with deep regret that Bin-Laden was found living high on the hog in a fancy house in a nation that is supposed to be a friend and ally of the free world. There are questions to be raised.
