Waddington Air Show 2011

Post by CelticWarrior »

I've had a blonde moment that has actually worked out well!

I've already booked a campsite for this weekend only to find that I'm going to be 15 mins drive from the Waddington Air Show - anyone else going?

This is going to be some holiday; Waddington this weekend, British GP at Silverstone next weekend and the Tank Museum, Bovington, Dorset the following week. 8)

My wife's so understanding.

Thanks for the heads-up Stew, I've never seen the TBirds so that'll be great.

You ought to tell your wife the truth: you DIDN'T ACTUALLY KNOW that the campsite was close to Waddington! :smt003

the airshow was sweet. I have to say the Thunderbirds can make some noise. Was quite funny when they went full throttle they set the car alarms off, the vulcan did the same

Worse than that. Guess who forgot to charge his phone, which ran out of juice before I even got the car parked?

It was a great show, though. We were right next to where the Lancaster and Vulcan started engines. :D

The Thunderbirds were great, but they didn't start the show by saying "Thunderbirds are GO!"; what a disappointment!
