Re: NAS Oceana
Hartwig,
With all of this eye candy, what is your fps looking like? Does it stay close to the same if you were to have the base fully loaded up?
But all I can say is you are really bringing NAS Oceana to life.

Re: NAS Oceana
I am quite happy with the fps. At the moment it is comparable with the MAIW Nellis scenery with all AI packages installed.
Fps are ca. 22-25 with about 160 AI aircraft and most of the scenery in view (using the default Cessna 172 and scenery complexity at very dense, fair wheather).
By reducing the scenery complexity to very dense most of the ground support equipment I placed will disappear which results in ca. 5 additional fps.
There are still some areas for large performance improvements that I have not even touched yet - trees.

Re: NAS Oceana
I was just wondering if you have made any progress on this lately.
Re: NAS Oceana
Yes, I too have been waiting for this. It looks awesome. Will it be out anytime soon?

I'm sure hawk_sh will not mind me quoting the old "its ready when its ready" mantra. That is how things on this site work after all.

Looking at the quality and depth of detail of all his work let's cut him some slack with the ETA requests. The last thing we want is Hartwig to get fed up with the project. With the amount of time pouring over the base it wouldn't surprise me if he's sick of the sight of the place and wants a break from it
Patience people, it'll be worth it. Merry Christmas.
