Is the problem still there when you select another pilot voice in the options window?

Okay Scott, I think this may solve the problem.

Go looking for your FS9.cfg file. It should be located in something like C/Documents and Settings/Computer(or whatever name you use)/Application Data/Microsoft/FS9.

Once you've found it, delete it, or move it somewhere else.

Start up the simulator which means it will rebuild the cfg file.

You'll need to put your own settings (screen res etc) back in, but I think that should cure it.

My personal experience has two things that could cause the scenery problem. One is that FS disk needs a chkdsk run against it as part of the index has become corrupt, it also causes virus scans to fail. The files look like they are there but the fs can't find at least part of them. The second is that you have occidentally dragged them into another folder. That one is easy to check out.

I once had the sound issue and in my case the answer was to rename the fs9.cfg file and let the system rebuild a new one. Then I just copied all my manual modifications back.

Not as far as I know Scott. You need to reinstall your scenery through the normal way.
