IIRC I did them, just check this thread. If you can't download them write it down and I'll attach them again.

It takes MUCH more time, but the result is much better!
I believe you.

It's the only thing I don't like about Rip's flightplan generator: the totally unrealistic levels. They're not even levels, just random numbers... So I continued making my plans manually in notepad which can be hard work indeed.

I just tend too keep mine under 10,000 ft. It'll do mainly because i'm a lazy arse too bone idle write them out manually.

The Brazilian VC-96 is Brazilian VC-96.zip. There is a link on page 17, but it says file is no longer available.

Thanks

Greg, have a look at this Excel file I use.
There are some simple formulas to create FP and manage the aircraft.txt and cfg.
Nothing special, I create it just to simplify some recurring test I do.
In the sheets there are few explanation lines and you have to know something about Excel.
If you find it useful, fell free to use it.

Cheers, Giorgio

James,

A new member here, but just a quick message to say thank you very much for the RAF VC10 flight plans. I have wanted to see RAF VC10s in FSX for some time, but I never knew where to get them. I will attempt to get them working in FSX when I get home from work!

Cheers :smt006

If you want to keep them up to date, there are many VC10s scrapped now.

....which is an absolute disgrace. I would prefer to see RAF Brize Norton as it should be....with operational VC10s  By the way, I have actually got David Maltbys VC10 models working as AI, and they look excellent. I haven't seen one moving yet, but I have only been checking to make sure that they are being displayed. One issue that I seem to have with the DM models is that far too many were displayed at once at Brize Norton with all of the flight plans installed. I had to reduce the number of flight plans from 12 to 6 to get a more reasonable number visible, and this was with the MAX number of planes that are supposed to be displayed reduced down to 3! Is that something that I can change in the aircraft.cfg files, or somewhere else?

The framerates at Brize Norton take a big hit with the full DM models when 13 VC10s are being displayed at one time (far too many when compared to the number of other types of military AI planes seen at the base), but they are pretty good with just 6 displayed (I have an i5 2500k/8GB DDR3-1600 RAM/1GB GeForce GTX 560Ti powered PC).

Hmm, the default Yeager layout looks like it could use an update, if all those Hercs have to park there. I smell a project coming on

Here is a new airline this time: Peach Airlines from Japan. This is ANA's low cost startup and will start operations in March. The timetable is available and simple so I thought I could try the MRAI Flightplans Generator.
Repaint link in the zip.
