West German Air Force Phantoms

Post by Fokket50 »

Another retro project soon to be released are the RF-4's from the Luftwaffe (West Germany at that time).
Included will be AG51 at Bremgarten (EDTG) and AG52 at Leck (EDXK).

It has been a while since Chris and I releases a package, but we will follow with the other Phantom units from the Luftwaffe that are missing in FS9 at the moment, JG35 at Pferdsfeld and JG36 at Hopsten.

Here is a preview, I hope you like them.

Love the retro stuff ! Just installed all of your retro packages and watched some Belgian F-16's visiting Woodbridge (scenery by ACG, absolutely stunning)... Really nice repaints on these F-16's by the way, like the weathered effect !

The 90's were so much more interesting as it comes to military traffic... Would love to see some Dutch NF-5A/B's, the A and B model by Jake Burrus look pretty decent... Spangdahlem F-4G's would also be welcome... Ah so much to cover, looking forward to your releases !

We are glad you like them. The credit for the weathered effect on the F-16s must go to Kevin, 'Weescotty'. He kindly let me use his paintkit which has the said effects.

Aaron has put the black Phantom on Flightsim.com and Ray Parker has done quite a few special schemes for the West German Phantoms.

At Avsim look for files by Chris Brown and/or Menno van den Boogaard...

It took a little longer than expected but we have just uploaded the files to both AVSIM and Flightsim.
We have made 5 packages, one for each airbase.

AG51 at Bremgarten - EDTGAG51.zip
AG52 at Leck - EDXKAG52.zip
JG35 at Pferdsfeld - ETSPJG35.zip
JG36 at Hopsten - ETNPJG36.zip
WTD61 at Manching Ingolstadt - ETSIWTD61.zip

They should become available in the coming days.

Some screenshots from Goose Bay, where a detachement will be flying, including F-4F's with special coloured tails.

thank you very much Chris and Menno, but I have a problem: the F-4 & RF-4's radius is 20m so they appear only in parking spot greater than 20m (i.e. MIL_CARGO)

OK! Problem solved modifying parking radius to 9m with "AI-Aircraft-Editor"

Flight Ontario makes an excellent Goose Bay scenery for the Phantoms "home away from home"
