Norwegian Herc crash in Northern Sweden

It had been participating in the Cold Response excercise, so fortunately they were able to start SAR operations straight away. RNAF & RDAF has helos in the air, the Swedish Army have their mountain units on the ground, and a USAF AWAC is also helping out, but apparently the weather is pretty hostile (20 meter visibility at best).

Hate hearing this. I currently work alongside a RNoAF aero med detachment overseas and we are planning a small ceremony.

Looks live all 5 on board perished in the crash. Body- and plane-parts have been found on the Kebnekaise, the tallest mountain in Sweden (some 7000' tall), and combined with the lack of any emergency transmissions from the crew, suggests a CFIT.
