Setting Up FSDS

Post by aerogator »

I'm posting this on the General Forum as well as the Contributors Forum to get more input.

I'm trying to set up my FSDS after wiping my drive. I have Windows 7 Home 64 bit. I have been using FSDS for several years and have not had this problem before. What's happenning is when I run the compiler it doesn't stop to let me change parameters or add lod's; it just continues to run, compiling only the Main Model. Before, I have renamed a couple of files in the main FSDS folder and it has stopped at the right place. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Thanks,

Only have to change two filenames -

rename both the MakeMdlAircraftParms and MakeMdlSceneryParms files in the FSDS 3.5 folder to

MakeMdlAircraftParms.old
MakeMdlSceneryParms.old

Ignore the warning about chnaging the files extension.

I found with FSDS on Win 7 x64 I also needed to create a MakeMdl.cfg file in the MakeMDL_SDK folder as it wouldn't hold any settings I checked off.

Just needs to include -

[Options]
HasReflectMap=1
HasLightMap=1
