AI B737 Wedgetail & Peace Eagle

Post by TheFoufure »

Hello,

In the RAAF AI PACK (available there : http://aussiex.org/forum/index.php?/fil ... i-for-fs9/), ther is a modified PAI 737 version in AEW&C WEDGETAIL.

Can someone realise a repaint in Turkey Peace Eagle version ? And in South Korea Peace Eye verson ?

Thanks a lot.

Yes, when you use it as a flyable model, but in AI version, it's OK. Don't ask me why, but in my AI world, it's size is OK. (I don't remember if I've modified it or not)

As you guy's may have seen in the background of the recent MAIW RAAF_Williamtown screen pic's there are some shots of the Wedgetail depicted at the correct size. The aircraft used in the RAAF_ADF_package should contain the fixed file to reduce its once huge size.

I think the model .mdl attached below corrects the aircraft size.

Yeah, not sure why the model came out that way for some people - it did when I first exported it but when corrected was fine. I seem to remember I put a fix out for the ADF AI package that corrected that but I could be wrong...

I got the correction .mdl directly from you Rob when beta testing the FS9 version. I really don't know if the current ADF_AI package has this update fix or not. If you still have the paintkit kicking around Rob that would be great.

Send me an email, please, Mark (lost yours!). The file's too big to attach here.

If I remember correctly, I noticed that there were two mdl files in the model folder. One was correct and one was the wrong size. Just a quick rename enables you to use the model fine.

I think you're right, Steve. From memory I'd accidentally included an earlier model as well as the correct one.

Just looked in my FS9 Aircraft folder and found three .mdls. Two have there names changed but that could be as a result of the beta testing the model to find the correct one.

PM on the way Rob.

Hi Guys, Tried the mdl fix from previous post but when I parked an AIA 737-700 at Williamtown next to the wedgetail it was still much larger, as the wedge is based on the 700 series it should not have been much larger. Also very apparant next to buildings. Steve

This is the best sizing we are going to get for the Wedgetail so try not to park it next to other 737-700's. I'm not aware of anybody planning to update or develop a new 737 model that includes the Wedgetail design. A shame really as the update from the commercial version is only minor and there are several really nice commercial AI models available.

Actually, there are two.

Both UTT and FAIB are making a new AI 737 series and both have shown interest in the Wedgetail along with the P-8 and other military variations.
