I just thinking about repaints for these with all the Hunter traffic on here lately: 2nd crash this year.

Seems pretty straight forward to me after reading about the F-22 dilema. Government is skimping and when things go wrong its easy to blame the pilot but god help the pilot if he refuses to fly an unsafe aircraft that might come down in somebodies backyard, may be your backyard.
Safety is the first thing to be placed at risk in defence cost cutting, its nuts.
