I just read this article:
http://news.yahoo.com/russian-jet-crash ... nance.html
One question since English is not my native language:
Do you consider prop aircraft as "jet" aircraft in English as well? In German I would say it is a prop but not a jet aircraft. But the yellow press here is also saying jet aircraft which I think is wrong.

Turboprop would probably be how we'd describe it.
"We attack tomorrow under cover of daylight! It's the last thing they'll be expecting ... a daylight charge across the minefield .."

In English the proper term would be "turboprop". Sometimes the media will call them "jetprops".

An-30 "04 Blue" was in mission Open Skies in Czech Rep.There was problem with nose gear and probably they didn't get the right speed an nose collapsed fast to the ground. In aircraft was Czech-Russian team and all this happens on Caslav AB.After Kosovo War in Serbia there was similar situation with An-26 on LYBE also nose gear didn't want to open but construction stayed intact.Later they use it for spare parts...
