A couple of weeks ago, I attended the launch of this unique modeling.

I am part of the Associazione Navimodellisti Milanesi (http://www.amm-modellismo.org/home.html), and three partners have built a model of the Battleship Bismarck in 1/72 scale.
Some data:
Length 3.48 meters
Width 0.50 meters
Draft 0.14 meters
Weight about 130 Kg.
Completely self-made from scratch, with various types of wood, brass and steel. Its construction took more than three
years of work by the three "crazy" modellers, based on technical drawings for initial setup of the model, and hundreds of
photographs for the faithful reproduction of every single little detail.
Just to give you an idea, the anti-aircraft machine gun single-mounted, is composed of more than thirty pieces of brass
soldered, and it is approximately 2 cm high.

The model is controlled by two radio also built from scratch. The first radio has 5 channels and controls the movements.
The three axes of the screws are independent.
The second radio has 24 channels and controls:
The independent movement of the four main turrets, the sights of the guns and the shooting.
The six secondary turrets, the cranes, the three radar, smoke, the movement of the catapult and the ignition of the
engine seaplane.
Each type of light, navigation, internal, anti air, morse signaling.
In one word, a masterpiece.

Radio receivers

Secondary guns (2 x 150 mm.) and AA (2 x 105 mm.)

One of the main gun turret (2 x 380 mm.)
