New Scenery From John Stinstrom (KMRB)

Post by reconmercs »

Hey guys, looks like John has released scenery for Martinsburg (KMRB) also known as Eastern West Virginia Regional which is a ANG C-5 base and was covered in the AMC C-5 East package. I haven't downloaded yet but if it's by John, it's gonna be a good one 8)

Unfortunately Avsim have cutover to the new lib and so that link doesn't work.
Also, they have severe access problems at the moment and it appears that i am not authorised to download John's stuff.

*sigh* Teething problems. You have to love them.

Going by their post the other night, the library will be offline between 1400 and 1800 GMT, so perhaps later......or something

Ok, generally speaking, I do not agree when something that is working fine, is modified or upgraded to something new. This is especially true, if the new version doesn't work as it is supposed to be.
Trying to download the new scenery from John Stinstrom, the first message was
" Oops! Something went wrong!
[#2001]
Sorry, the server is too busy to handle your request, please try again in a moment"

After some time, trying again, the message was "Sorry, you don't have permission for that!
[#10852]
You do not have permission to download this file"

Notice that I downloaded all six files of MPAI Mig-21....

Other problems with "Upload file" or "You cannot upload a new file" depending by which page I'm looking at.
I Also have problems with forum that doesn't work, I can only read posts and I can't edit my profile....
In the last weeks I tried to register with a new username, but when insert the e-mail, it says that is already in use.

...a nightmare...

Looks like they've reverted to the old library for the time being, due to the load it was placing on the database.

Well it does seem that it is not just me then.
The annoying thing is that although they have the old library back the files are not on that lib any more.

Let's hope they sort it out soon.

Good news. The uploads have been put back to the old library so I was able to download John's scenery and Mikes's Fishbeds and Mongols.

Come on guys. I yust downloaded it too but apparently from the old site. Seems they rolled back the transfer as something went not as planned. Its sometime a bitch moving over to a new system. Lets wait and see how they fare and keep our fingers crossed.

I'm sure they will manage moving to a acceptable if not better sysem soon!

Never change a running system is a bitch too!

Does anyone have night lighting at this airport? At night I have a few light patches on the ground but no lights on any of the buildings. Is that how it's supposed to be? (I have the effects files in the efects folder)
