Hello,
Firstly I want to say how amazing the packages you have all created are - the detail is superb. With that said, I currently use X-Plane 9 and using a conversion script (FS2Xplane) I have converted several of your packages for use. Nothing currently on X-Plane comes close to comparing to the realism that you have achieved. I have tried to used hangers and ground support vehicles created by John Stinstrom and Jim Dhaenens (with their permission) to create a MCAS Miramar scenery. But I want to provide the X-Plane pilot with the same experience I have using your packages. So I would like to ask permission to convert and post several sceneries for distribution on X-Plane.org . None of the aircraft models or voice packs etc work. I'm only interested in the airfield. I would use X-Plane's existing static aircaft to populate the fields. But would make no other alterations unless a serious issue came up.
I'm primarily interested in Navy and Marine Corps instilations : Whidbey, Atsugi, Lemoore, China Lake, El Centro etc.
I looked for a direct contact so as to ask permission directly, but all I could find was directed toward the forums.
Thank you in advance for your consideration

If you download the Top Gun pack, there's a Miramar scenery in it.

I realize that , and it is spectacular. What I want is permission to redistribute MAIW Packages on X-Plane.org for X-plane users.
Re: MAIW scenery in X-Plane 9
Rob, every one of those sceneries that you are interested were created by John Stinstrom as you probably know. You can contact him via a personal message here on the forums, his user name here is "johnstinstrom". He checks in a couple times a week so I'm sure he'll get it sooner than later.
What I can tell you from an MAIW standpoint is that we do not permit the packages to be redistributed in any shape or form. There are simply too many individuals involved in each package to just give a blanket "yes" permission.
However it sounds like you just want the scenery for the most part, if that's the case, go directly to the author of those files for permission to use them which sounds like is John S. in this case. If you have his permission, you can remove all the MAIW references from any file names and that's all you would need to do to keep us happy.
