Retro representation of this RNLAF base. Nowadays this base is home to Apache and Chinook fleets. As such a lot of demolition/construction work has taken place since the days when it was home to fixed wing units.
Hopefully I have given a fair idea of what the base was like in the 1980s.
Standard MAIW Libraries together with Osan library and RAAF Williamtown objects used. You'll also need Sidney Swartz' large parking lots from Avsim.
Hope you like and feedback is welcome.
Thanks as usual to Gert for the VTPP and to Chris for testing.
Enjoy.

Re: Gilze-Rijen AB - EHGR
Great work!!!
Also love your other Dutch airfields that you did!
Really like it
Not wanting to sound pushy or demanding or anything but would you consider making the final missing "link" which will
be "De Kooy", aka. EHKD Den Helder which now mainly handles the new NH90's and some civillian stuff......

That might be of help in case you would be interested.
Thanks no matter what because you have done allready so much great work!

Re: Gilze-Rijen AB - EHGR
There is a fairly large problem with doing De Kooy using ADE.
1. The canal which runs to the east and the smaller ones which surround the other 3 sides. They will not reproduce well using this tool.
2. The tulip fields throughout that area cannot be recreated - so the landscape looks wrong.
Sorry about this.

Well, there are only tulips in april/may so no biggie!Stewart Pearson wrote:There is a fairly large problem with doing De Kooy using ADE.

Regarding the canals, whatever works.

Whatever you may do it must be an improvement of the original which has only a few parkingspots if even that....
Thanks once more!
