KC-135 repaints
KC-135 repaints
I guess that with the gift of the KC-135R and E from MAIW a lot of people, including myself, will want to do some textures. I also know that we like to keep things to ourselves as well. I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to state what projects we have on the go in relation to these beauties to perhaps save some time and duplication. Although there is nothing wrong with more than one person doing the same paints I sometimes would never have bothered doing some paints if I had known someone else was doing them. Its only a suggestion and I will start it off in anycase.
I am doing the KC-135Es of the ANG and AFRES 1990.

Chris,Great idea .But you'll HAVE to do the 108th ARW with their cammo and the tiger on the tail circa 1992.My favourite KC paint with the RC135U with sharkmouth as #2 and the thirdly Plattsburgh's KC's from the early yrs. with the green diagonal stripes on a white background .

Re: KC-135 repaints
If this idea catches on perhaps one of the staff could change the heading to something like 'Repainting projects' and we can cover everything. There are enough contributors to the hobby to cater for most tastes in textures, flightplans, vcmods and scenery.

Re: KC-135 repaints
All we neednow is a proper A model 135, then all of SAC can be covered. Since most of SAC never went to the E due to its reduced takeoff weight.

Yea, could you please! That Turbobit thingy doesn't work in this country, at least according to them.

Still not there for me today.. Tried to make a screen capture and paste here, but am failing, so.... It says that the web site is off line, and no cache version is available, etc. I'm not willing to spend time right now to figure this out, so ignore me right now. Off to the pharmacy to spend big bucks on my meds. Ta Ta! Ron

Is this the current colour scheme of Mildenhall's KC-135s?
