You're welcome!
RKE, I think there are some missing, I used only the repaints provided in the packages!

Awww, Giacomo. The man is a well oiled spring, at the moment, and you want to ask questions
.
In all honesty, Mike does give hints in his various posts and sometimes downright posts piccies but we have to let modellers have some fun and reveal details in the way that suits them.
P.S. When i said that Mike was a well oiled machine, I was not implying that he has had a few too many
, although at the end of this purge I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
I didn't do full-unit repaints for any of these (that wasn't the focus of the project), except in cases like Lebanon, where they only had ten single-seaters and two two-seaters. In about a month I will be releasing paint kits; after I finish releasing all of the III/5 core models (still have the 5P, Elkan, and the 50); and whoever wants to can paint to their heart's content at that point. Pantera, Cheetah, and Kfir will use different forward fuselage mapping, and will be significantly different paint kits; so they get saved for last. Right now, I have four main paint kits in play (IIIC, IIIE, IIIB/BE, 5/IIIR/IIIRD). The '5' kit also covers the Dagger-A, Nesher-A, and the future Elkan; and the IIIB/BE cover all B and D two-seat variants.
Also, I am pretty much caught up on what countries have been done thus far; insofar as future releases for most remaining countries will have all appropriate models in a single package. I have preliminary painting done for Gabon, Zaire, and Libya; so those will be next out with both single- and two-seaters in a single file. Libya will be a meaty file because they operated four variants (that I can research thus far) to include IIIE/5/BE/R variants. Also, Pakistan has at least nine identified versions in current service, so that package may be multi-part, we'll see. The largest non-French package will be RAAF, who only operated two main models (IIIO, IIIDO), but had over a hundred of them, with a lot of generational paints. It won't have a lot of models but will have a ton of repaints; and I won't forget ARDU, lol......
All for now, I am at work for a few days, so this project will continue next week. After twelve package releases in three days, I think I needed a little Mirage break anyway.....

It is amazing around here how many people need to go to work to take a break.

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Here is this week's bag of projects for the Mirage, I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now, and it isn't the train, lol.
I finished off Africa with Gabon, Zaire, and Libya; and made a serious dent into South America with Peru, Venezuela, and Chile (non-Pantera, non-Elkan). This week adds two of the three remaining core models (late export Mirage 5 and Mirage 50), so paint kits will be coming soon as well. Lots of new one- and two-seat models, and lots of generational paints. Enjoy the pictures, as usual.....

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Apparently I jacked up a couple of the config files on some releases a couple of weeks ago. I did name replacement stuff and accidentally re-named some of the air file references in the config aircraft entries. It's pretty subtle, and took a few weeks to figure out... So, there will be a 'service pack 2' but it will be a heck of a lot smaller than the original one. If you know how to manually edit config files, the known affected aircraft are the IIIBZ SAAF and 5DAD UAE packages. Sorry about that.
On other Mirage news, here is a near-complete alpha model for the Mirage IV. There are now five aux air doors on each intake side, and that was six hours of life I won't get back, lol, but they will be worth it to watch on the flight line. I have a little bit of work on the engine area and the gear (doors/bays), and then off for serious flight testing.

Your efforts are really worth it, Mike. Quality work appreciated by so many of us.

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Until Mike comes up for air and puts together a service pack here is the quick fix. I found the problems while loading the aircraft for screen shots. Turns out the problem is with the aircraft.cfg file and in both cases it was the naming of the AIR file in the [fltsim.xx] sections.mikeblaze wrote:Apparently I jacked up a couple of the config files on some releases a couple of weeks ago. In the case of the SAAF Mirage IIIBZ (mpai_mirage_bz_dz_saaf), for each aircraft listed change "IIIBZsim=MPAI_Mirage_IIIB_AI_ONLY" to "sim=MPAI_Mirage_IIIB_AI_ONLY".
And in the case of the UAE Mirage 5DAD (mpai_mirage_5ad_uae), for each aircraft listed change "sim=MPAI_Mirage_5AD_AI_ONLY" to "sim=MPAI_Mirage_5F_AI_ONLY".
It is an easy fix if you know your way around the aircraft.cfg file. If not, wait for the SP.
Keep 'em coming Mike.

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Here's something not so retro......
The weeks I don't punch out a bunch of packages just mean I am neck-deep into progressive design or painting. I am currently finalizing two different sets of F-5 Tiger models for upcoming packages, making full-LOD master models for Starfighters, Delta Daggers, and Mirage IVs; plust a little Mirage III/5 tinkering this week. This started out as just doing the Mirage 5COA for Colombia, which will round out the 'ordinary' Mirage models for South America (Elkan/Pantera are coming, I swear....). But I started fiddling around with the modernization of the Mirage 5COAM, and then took it a step further, into a Kfir folder that hasn't gotten any real work done since before Christmas...... Physically, the 5COAM is pretty much the Pantera with a few antenna changes. Also, I have four core Kfir single-seat models done now; early/late C1 (with/without canards), C2 with the dog-tooth wings, and C7/C10 with the long nose. AB effects and tail beacon will be different, so back to FDE test, but it should go fast. I might be able to push the first Kfir package out by next week or so. Chew on this for a few days, and it will be at AVSIM.

Re: Mirages, Daggers, and Neshrs......
Here are some early Kfir C1s... couldn't start this part of the project with anybody else by Israel..... I am counting this as a brand-new aircraft model, as this is a complete re-build of my own Mirage with new landing gear, fuselage, tail, and a partial mod of the wings to incorporate new landing gear doors and the dogtooth edge in later models. Plus several new fuselage air inlets for that hot J79 engine, and a lot of little improvements from the original Mirage models, like more accurate mapping of some of the parts for specific paints. This part will be 8 models and 26 repaints, and will be released sometime this week, with the C2 hot on the C1's heels. If I can't get the C2 done by Tuesday I'll release the C1; if I get the C2 done, I'll release them together, we'll see how it shakes out; I owe some F-5s tomorrow.
