Re: OLA! Greetings from the Canaries
Hi tim and everybody
I think that you must test this scenery http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php ... id=6743915 look for PROJECT CANARIAS, is the best scenery for our beatiful islands, i can assure that because am from there.
And if you can get the canrary islands of simwings/aerosoft you´ll have the best for fs2004. The handicap is two islands, Lanzarote and fuerteventura, are missing in photoreal textures but if any one is interested i can provide links to improve those islands.
I show you a couple of screens those are not proper AI shots but you can see the scene and Maiw traffic there.

Re: OLA! Greetings from the Canaries
Yeah, I have it mate, but its on my flying only computer upstairs, this one I keep mostly default for designing, then port it upstairs and tweak to fit the photoreal. Where are you from, I spent some holidays in Teneriffe and had the opportunity to cruise around the islands in the 70's, superb. Nice shots btw. If you need anything design wise for the Canaries and you have photos, drop us a pm. I've been wanting to upgrade GCTS for a while but lost all my photos
The Simwings scenery and the Project Canarias are superb

Hi mate am from Gran canaria, glad you have that superb sceneries.
In the 70s at hadn´t been born, i was born in 1979, and i think that at that time you saw better landscape than nowadays with lot of buildings and hotels.
I found this in a forum its about that time showing the south of the island, now the dunes are less than that time , and there is a lot of hotels. Hope you like

Re: OLA! Greetings from the Canaries
Wow thanks for posting the pictures of the Phantoms Halcon......I love Gran Canaria, been three times and the last time was the best visit, as that beach was where we spent most of the holiday; amazing how much has changed over thirty odd years especially around the lighthouse. We regularly visited a restaurant called Escelaritas on the promenade there; boy what I would have given to visit the place when Phantoms were flying around.

I like english people, specially the way of they keep everything from the WWII in perfect conditions, ive been there a couple of times and i´ve seen old airfileds and airtrips, and its surprise me how somebody haven´t build in there and keep them as they were in the past.

Lovely. Puerto Rico was the first place I stayed in back in '94......in fact on top of the hill above the apartments in front of the nose.....if you get me
The pictures of Tenerife are nice too, but have never been there

Re: OLA! Greetings from the Canaries
Lovely screenshots and pictures! Only ever flew in and out of Las Palmas once or twice, we usually went to Tenerife for our winter holiday instead.
My mom worked for a tour operator back in the 80's and early 90's, so we could usually get some discounts, but for me the big thing was getting to fly on the Conair A300's (and later A320's, we even went to the welcome party in CPH when the first was delivered - I can remember being really disappointed they had the small overhead type screens instead of the single projector on the bulkhead). I haven't been to the islands for many years, but I'm pretty sure I can still find my way around Playa de las Américas
