RAF 2013 Airshow Shorts Tucano

Post by fishlips »

A quick repaint of the RAF 2013 Airshow MG_Shorts_Tucano. There are only 3D drawings of the proposed aircraft scheme for 2013 that I could find to use as a guide for this repaint which was untaken for beta testing.
The texture works with both the multi-player model (as seen here and available at Flightsim.com) and the newly released AI model. The MAIW package comes complete with another authors version of this repaint.

Hi Lewis,
I've uploaded it to Flightsim.com for people who use the Shorts Tucano multi-player model, which is the same texture as that used by the AI version available here at MAIW...
There is also a version of this repaint in the recently released RAF package authored by Daryl.

I was only saying to Mark C in a PM that I didn't think the 3D drawings on the RAF website was going to be the correct paint job as it interfered with rescue labels and the fact that airshow camo paints from past years had been further back on the fuselage. Good thing I included the paint kit with the Shorts Tucano model on Flightsim.com
I guess that's a good reason to wait for the actual aircraft photos before painting them for the sim.
I'm a bit short on time at the moment to update it so I'll have to get back to it!

Some nice pic's their Stew, I see they have kept the anti-glair bonnet paint.

I'm thinking of making a higher res-version in 3D-max, its a cool aircraft.
